Advisory Council

The Philmont Public Library Board of Trustees is searching for candidates interested in joining an Advisory Council.

The purpose of this Advisory Council is to bring together individuals with a range of expertise, experience, and networks. The Council will provide connections to the wider community as well as provide advice and guidance on distinct topics. Council members may reside locally or elsewhere. The appointment made by the Board of Trustees is for three years with renewals approved by the Board. Upon request by either party, Council members will work with Board members on specific projects. The Council will hold few formal meetings.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to the arts, fundraising, volunteers, building and structural expertise, community relations, government relations, human relations and personnel management, marketing and branding, security, environment and ecology, governance, IT, BOT recruitment, and grant writing.
