September 28, 2026(1 event) – Crafts after school with Amelia McIsaac return for kids ages 6-13.
Come join us to learn several different embroidery stitches to create unique and beautiful patches, mandalas, bean bags, or pillows. People have been decorating their clothes with embroidery, beads and quills since clothing began! You too can learn how to stitch decorations for yourself or to give away.

October 2, 2026(1 event) – Info provided by The Philmont Artists Collective: The Philmont Artists Collective is an informal networking group for artists living and working in Philmont and the surrounding area. The group has a standing meeting at the Philmont Public Library on the First Friday of each month (except for holidays when the library is closed) in the Community Room starting at 1 pm. The group purpose is to foster communication and collaboration between artists and is open to artists of all disciplines and career levels. Additionally the group has a private facebook group ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/philmontartistscollective ) and an open email list. By joining the mailing list you agree to share your email with the group members. Email hlmartinauthorartist@gmail.com if you'd like to join the mailing list. |

October 10, 2026(1 event) – "The Lost Ones: Finding My Ancestors Volume I: The Diary of Absence" is a 2-day event and pop-up art show held at the Philmont Public Library by Artist Valerie Richmond.
Oct. 10, from 2-4pm, will include an artist's talk and presentation, followed by a panel discussion with psychotherapists and creative workers Bethany Parr Tronsky, LCSW and Deborah Sherman, BC-DMT.
Oct. 11, from 2-4pm, will be centered on a creative arts and family constellation workshop with Val Richmond and Kathy Stillson, LCSW.
"The Lost Ones" is made possible by grant funding from the Columbia County Legislature, administered by CREATE Council on the Arts.
